I carried a swiss army knife all the time in my 20s, a multitool in my thirties, in my 40-50 just a small blade. I have found that all the parts of a swiss army knife I just do not need immediately but the blade is the one think I just use. I am an old man. This whole thing is just 5 in long. 

I know nothing is perfect, it was just what popped into my head at that moment. My actual advice is that daughters see how their fathers treat them and their mothers and nothing one can say to a daughter will ever overcome the role modeling they saw growing up. Yep I am in the woods camping and overlanding a lot and I have to say that I have had more close calls, violent threats, and near misses with MAGA men than I ever have had with bears.

My kid would watch how young men treated their moms and sisters and if there was No sister, no chance.
