You can also leave one set of scrapers and brushes in the house and one set in the car so you can brush and scrape your car when you go places in the winter. If you can afford a car you can afford an extra snow brush.

I am down to about 1 movie in a theater per year. When I go, the giant megaplex just looks like a ghost town/dinosaur/relic of a bygone era. It is just sad. Empty bar, unused snack counters, Old posters and cutouts. If feels like going to the drive-in in the early 1990s. 

You forget or do not know that everyone’s means are different. Are you saying that if kids are really poor, that is just too bad they need to live a life of crime vs take out a student load to try to better thier lives. I agree! And the very classist nature of college. If only the rich go to college then only the rich get the high paying and political powerful jobs. That eliminates upward mobility. We may as well go back to serfs and aristocracy at that point.

Small town kids can find $1000 take home/week server or bartender for everyone that need that  job?  That is not realistic. There are not as many $1000 week jobs as you suggest for college kids.

yes more in the past more public money went to colleges and that helped keep tuition down. also people used to be able to bankrupt their way out of student loans.

It all seems to stem from selfishness, overconfidence, lack of empathy, self delusion , impatience and fragile egos. The reason is humans are getting worse in many, but not all, ways.

Not mine but I knew quite a few guys back in the 1980s that had girlfriends puke peach schnapps into the front seats of their cars. It was a common enough of an occurrence that is stuck in my memory.  

mine is 12 years old, I still have factory rims. I did add rock rails and replaced the bumpers after smashing them at the off road park. but did the plainest cheapest steel bumpers.
