in a pinch and if the ice is thick this will work but it tends to melt plastic trim. I have only done it once after a really bad ice storm. 

$3 on amazon, they are small and can live in the car year-round. The soft metal blade is so much better than a plastic scraper and will not scratch the window glass.

Funny that my 99 accent was a flawless beast of a daily driver. We even ordered it with a manual. It was a great car. 

From about 1999 to 2019 I was a happy Hyundai owner (accent, elantra, sonata all bought new) and defended them and explained to my hick relatives that I was ok with a foreign car and had no mechanical issues. UNTIL our sonata started to disappear oil. It is now out of our fleet and I am not pro Hyundai anymore.
