Both of these are harder rock/metal style music and there is a definite bias against that genre of music.

Well said! and then later the simpsons were praised for having 2 married not divorced loving parents that took their kids to church and were involved in their kids lives. Just a wild swing in opinions.

And ending just as they enter mirkwood would be perfect as they house of beorn is a nice ending (denouement) after the excape from the wolves and goblins.

It certainly does not look 20 feet. And criminals break stuff all the time trying to get away. 

You would think that he could hang from the door sill so his feet would be far enough down as to be able to fall with not that much injury as to be able to run off. But I was not there and he may not be that bright. 

I really like this show. I also wonder if civilization exists in 100 years, will we get fictionalized versions of current billionaires and their families?

As someone that has been reading the Hobbit almost yearly since 1979, There is such a clear spot to break the story into 2 movies, right as they enter mirkwood. 

Poor Hobbit, they ADDED crap to make it 3 movies. Worse choice ever.
