1st gear- If mega corps with squads of actuaries are having trouble how are individuals supposed to figure that out?

Seems reasonable the trouble is that 60 seconds is a long time for the impatient left laners going 85 in a 55.

Question. How close to a left exit on the highway should someone get over into the left lane without being a left lane camper. I do not want to drive 30+ over the speed limit but still need to make the left exit. Yes I often have to make a left exit where the people are driving 80+ in a 55 zone in the left lane. 

I try to be in the right lane on the interstate becasue the left lane drivers are often going 20+ over the speed limit. It is so annoying to deal with people merging onto the highway 20- under the speed limit. Get over be too slow in the left, stay in right have to slam on brakes for some slow merger. Annoying.

I have owned garbage for decades so to me they drive just fine and I am so glad my jeep has the ability to go off road since I do that a few weeks a year.
