I have been in education for 32 years both teaching college and HS. The Ivy League educated I have known are more likely just rich idiots or kids whose parents and schools helped them be good memorizers. Statically there must be some ivy league grads that are smart despite their upbringing.

Anti-intellectualism is a through line since before we were a country.

Every kid is gifted is just garbage that inflated kids self worth to the point we have schools full of kids that only want to do hair, play sports, or make music.

It is part of the problem we have that nudity and sex is considered vastly worse than violence. Parents keep kids from media with nudity and sex but let them be exposed to as much violence as possible. We are a country of messed up violent puritanical prudes with gun fetishes.

Bald tires are also an issue. When I am driving around Florida I see loads of cars with bald tires.

Notice the shift from network shows, multi-year and many many episodes to the streaming era with 3 seasons of 8-10 episodes. Things have changed. This is part of the reason for the strikes, I would guess.
