You grossly overestimate the competence and capabilities of government employees.

Same with bigfoot and the idea of minimum viable population. Like why nobody ever ever sees mature or baby bigfeet and how many would need to be alive to maintain a population.

Here in the upper midwest men have a uniform. Baseball cap (worn all day/night), goatee, some camouflage, pick up truck. If getting fancy, a fishing hook ornament on the bill of the cap and/or embroidered deer on a sweatshirt (that is wedding reception clothing).

I am picky about the functions and featured I want in a vehicle. I have had some great and some bad from most manufactures. I have owned 25 in my 38 years of driving. I have had 5 jeeps, 5 fords, 3 hyundais, 2 kias, 2 VW, etc. I will buy what I want and what I can afford and I will hold a grudge for long as quality…

I did similar in the 80's and 90's don’t beat yourself up about it.
