That's fair enough, absolutely. But it is a very different criticism than "no humor at all".

The funny thing is people complain about no humor in the Batman movies, then complain about Marvel's "house style" and constant jokes. not saying either of those criticisms are ones I disagree with (I wish Marvel would go outside their house style sometimes, the grim reboot thing gets ridiculous) but you know what I

So many people have complained that even in miller's darkest run, we always had humor to lighten moments and that this show doesn't have that at all.

Scoring that fight to Willie and Patsy's "Crazy" was such a masterstroke and not a choice I would've expected from the show

I love this show and all the actors in it but killing off Sam Shepard less than halfway through and Mendehlson here definitely makes me less excited for its future.

I couldve sworn Hamill was going to kill his apprentice and that the whole "father" thing was a big trick but it was equally funny just having him deliver that goofy iconic line.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Hartley himself has been calling this the end of the "saga" and whatnot. He could be taking the piss but I think this is his goodbye to these people.

When I was first getting into Hal Hartley I never really thought he'd do a poop joke, and that said poop joke would be so hilarious and ridiculous.

Yes, you are right. But he's not a completely ridiculously over the top gross and horrible person ala The Good Wife.

I usually stop it before those previews start but this time I couldn't help but leave them on.

FUCK YOU OLD MAN.

This is probably one of the few times I've seen a TV show where the person with the sexual fetish ISN'T a horrible person or serial killer.

Same. And i wish there were no commercials so we could just listen to them play.

More serial storytelling enters the picture. There is a lot of the same style of joke but I find that the writing and imagery is so good and hilarious that it's always funny. And as the story gets deeper and darker and more characters you will find yourself being pulled along more. There's one episode that is one of

It gets better as it goes on for sure.

THEY BETTER FUCKIN GIVE IT TO HIM

This has me really really sad. One of the main reasons I was excited for the revival was because Lynch was supposedly directing all 9 episodes.

This is old news though. No Marvel characters have been able to smoke since Joe Quesada decided that he didn't like them bringing that influence (because his father passed from cancer). Hence…no more cigars for Howard the Duck or Wolverine.

We should get another season of Justified wherein Raylan is always holding the baby in every single scene including gunfights and his intimidation moments.
