He brings a sweetness to his annoying vainness. It seems to come from his insecurities a lot of the time and he's so so earnest about wanting to be in Jane's live.

Thank Christ.

As always, gonna ask y'all to list your favorites that were NOT listed here. As good as these lists always are I have often wound up with a total favorite coming from a recommendation from a user (Baron Vaughn was one huge example of that)

This looks absolutely gorgeous and makes me wish I had an iPad as I know my iPhone probably won't do it justice visuals wise.

Honestly I was never the biggest Top Chef fan but this makes me want to watch it. I love hating a good asshole.

I worry this will reveal TOO MUCH of the mystery. I always liked it when it was nightmarish and primal and not "explained" too too much.

Gona start a petition and protest called "BRING HAWK BACK"

I don't remember much of Hyperion besides that I loved it when I read it many years ago. At the time I didn't realize it had a direct sequel and so went "GAH!" when I got to that ending.

NOS4A2 is definitely his "Stephen King" book. His short stories, Horns and his comic don't feel like King at all. In fact, I think Horns is light years beyond anything King ever wrote.

You know, I feel like there was a reason they gave, that I bought, but for the life of me I can't remember what that was anymore.

Ghostwritten has a bunch of links to Cloud Atlas too!

I'm really excited to see what she thinks of Lord of Light which is one of my all time favorites and the only one of these 4 that I've read (though the other 3 are ones I want to get to).

I haven't read it but Tom Franklin is a hell of a god damn writer so I would say you can't go wrong.

Oh man, now my head is hurting lol.

It doesn't. The Kenzie/Gennaro books are very different than Mystic River. They temper the dark stuff with a lot of humor (Kenzie is a wiseass with the best of them) and they are more exciting as opposed to dour. Also, the dark in them is more of the gothic/noir variety of the old school rather than Mystic River's
