I can highly recommend the entire 6 book Kenzie/Gennaro series though with Mystic River I honestly think you are better off seeing the movie.

I just remember White Noise having this incredibly comic tone. It was satirical and the voice was hilarious. Events were frequently bawdy and everything had this just…odd feel. (I am now thinking that a lot of the stuff I've loved about Pynchon feels similar to White Noise). Everything else I've read from him has

Yeah, the women in Mao II are…really not the best written.

What things has mr. Mratfink recommended! You know I'm a geek for all those genres and would love to get some new recs.

I just finished Bone Clocks which I absolutely adored and am finishing up Karen Joy Fowler's last one which I am also really loving. She has a great sarcastic witty voice and a kind of jaunty humorous tone even when things are at their saddest though I often want to shake the narrator and tell her her brother is an

Yeah it's been established that, in the MCU, Hydra just used the Nazi party as a way to build itself up and that's not a part of it anymore.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I hope he has a Krycek type arc of being kind of all over the place in his allegiances. Sometimes good, sometimes bad.

I really really really really really hope Stillman's scripts get him an order. I adored that pilot.

I can only hope that this will be a 5 minute short of Coop, Hawk, Audrey and Harry holding hands and skipping away from the Black Lodge while Mairzy Doats plays.

THOSE BASTARDS

It's very odd that they are setting up so many of these main characters are so significantly older than Bruce.

I've seen him so many times, and even when he does things that are clearly scripted that he does at other shows it still gets me. Nothing fills me with the transcendence of music and the chills the way seeing him does. Still.

Eh, I will never find it corny because the lyrics are as bitter and sarcastic as they come.

Why not, haha. I just like characters with shifting motivations. Or selfish ones. Kind of all over the map.

I was pretty disappointed when Agents of SHIELD didn't have Titus Welliver, her and the dude from that short because they were fun as heck.

I think it'd be fun if they do an Agent Krycek type arc for him. He's not really with HYDRA, not really with SHIELD. A bad guy but not a full on bad guy.

I mean, it is right now. It's so creepy and unromantic.

Honestly I hope we don't get it or that we don't get it for a few years. He's so much more interesting right now and although I love a good bad guy turns good arc we need him to be bad or at least like THIS for a long time.

I think, considering they want to get Talbott on their side, they had to be some sort of stun gun or rubber bullets. They wouldn't just be slaughtering soldiers.

Yeah I agree with this wholeheartedly. I've been calling for a Taskmaster on this show for awhile. He's the quintessential Secret Avengers/SHIELD villain. And so much fun.
