On closer look it looks like the late seventies is where it really shot up.
I think the biggest price jump comes in the 1970s due to Nixon and the Gold Standard. But then again my economics knowledge is lacking.
The last episode was pretty much all review segments (somewhat bland reviews but hey). I can’t remember old top gear did 4 car reviews in a row.
His HST impression on the Boxster video was heads and shoulders above this one
Time to sandbag and re-created the 1959 Le Mans victory.
I can remember numerous times Clarkson has bitched about EU regulations. Between that and his right-wingness I’m thoroughly surprised.
Green paint, orange calipers, and yellow seats - interesting combination...
I really wish they’d experiment with a V8, optional auto, and re-offer a convertible. It wouldn’t be a “purist” but it’d still be a badass car with likely sustainable sales.
Shit, we’ve been referencing this skit on Jalopnik, since referencing shit on Jalopnik existed.
Were these houses donated to fund breast cancer research?

“2 million dollar prototype” sure is a fancy way of saying 3 year old mothballed concept car.
This company has yet to actually show anything remotely resembling a working car that could potentially buy. How do you have self driving cars when you don’t make any cars?
As a Miata driver I can assure you there are many cars that are better. Now if they came out of the factory with twice the horsepower I might change my mind.
Clarkson pretty much invented automotive retrospective film, watching anyone else do it just feels like a cheap knock off. Also feels like a huge missed opportunity to more directly compare the old F1 to the new LT.
Does this put my dream of motorcycling to the Norwegian arctic circle in jeopardy?
Bicycle Porsche, are they pretentious as fuck, or delightfully insane?
I like the idea of making the 6 a quasi-sports car, and rebranding the current plus sized 6 as an 8. But how many S coupes does Mercedes sell? 500 a year? I’m surprised they’re bothering (unless they unleash more 4 door coupe bullshit)
I think people are putting old TG on a pedestal. This episode wasn’t stellar, but it was on par with most of the weaker bits and clips of Top Gear.
