David, I’m driving my 356,000 mile ‘95 Grand Cherokee daily right now while my Explorer is in the shop. (I hit a damn deer.)

David, I am loving these stories like this!
Awwww, I got a kick out of him!
Blaming Trump really isn’t the answer. Shit got too high, and wages haven’t kept up.

David, I’d just roll with the points setup. The thing can’t make much more horsepower than my riding mower, and likely has a redline that would be comparable to a modern Briggs and Stratton, meaning that you don’t need the hottest spark going, and with a low ass redline, dwell time is not a concern either.
Set them…
Although it looked like pond scum, I was pretty sure that you had the perseverance to make it work.

No, that you can order a literally brand new 60's Mustang.
I’m guessing you would be wrong, as I worked as a Toyota tech when these cars were brand new.
Which is just as much bullshit as this, perhaps even more so. Those cars are far less car, and far less capable than this, and to pull that kind of money is ludicrous - especially considering that you can literally order a brand new one these days.
And it never will be at that price. I’m Mod Motor Guy because while I do like the Mod Ford, the Mod Ford makes me money.
You’re absolutely correct. Perhaps you are catching on. Speculators have ruined it for the real car guys that will actually drive and maintain and enjoy these vehicles.
But that’s part of the issue...at only 11K mile, this car WOULD need a full time mechanic for a while to be considered a reliable vehicle again. You know damn well nearly everything rubber, and nearly every gasket and seal would need replacement in short order.
As I recall when I worked for a Toyota dealer, these were not hailed as supercars, or limited production models....just high end sports cars. Albeit very capable for the day, I think comparing this to a Ford GT or a Nissan GTR might be a bit apple vs orange.
That’s kind of a scary thought, really. I flip cars on the side, and I watch values like a HAWK. At this money, for this car? Man, someone MIGHT be warming up the tub....’cause I think it’s BATH TIME.
It’s also not 174 grand. Try again.
