David, DAVID! Holy SHIT, man! You are BARBECUING the battery in that Jeep.

OK, gotta date myself here a bit - I was JUST getting my start in professional auto repair when these cars were new-ish. I remember the halcyon days of cussing at mixture control solenoids in electronic Quadrajets, doing tune ups on Hyundai Excels, and advising Fifth Avenue owners to keep a spare ballast resistor in

Mod Motor Guy’s Craigslist seller irritations -

As a concept, NO, banking is not dishonest, or dishonorable.  However, the greedy pricks who game the system and figure out how to fleece everyone tend to give them that illustrious reputation.

And on the eighth day God looked down on his planned paradise and said, “I need someone who can flip this for a quick buck.”

Add RallyCross to the list - here’s me going balls out in my ‘97 Grand Marquis:

This is a fucking disgrace.  Just buy Stouffer’s whatever and call it a day.

Torch, with all due respect...you’re wrong. Let’s consider a comparison -

Forgive me for being such a simpleton about this thing, but......

Jesus Christ. The commenters are seriously disappointing me today. My wife and I ANXIOUSLY opened this article and read it, anticipating some really great comments. As usual, Rude Negro delivered.

Is it just that this guy is SO stone cold fuck nuts that you are pretty much shocked and aghast to the point of just not

Take your star, you magnificent bastard.

Can’t say I’m terribly shocked. You pay more, yet you get less. Cars get more expensive due to the insane amounts of bullshit added on, year after year, which in turn, makes them more complex, which in turn makes them sketchier over the long haul.

This motherfucker means business!

Fuck yes, THIS.  I completely agree with you.

Well, you know, the concept of “overbuying” is pretty moot when you NEED something, but everything is WAY too much money. Pickup trucks are a fantastic example. I live in the country, and I need a pickup truck. Buying one is about as much of a pipe dream as it gets. Let me break it down for you....I require a truck

No problem. I’m pretty old school. I am well versed in carburetors, and electronic ignition systems, hell, even points! I can make the dumbest of cars run as smoothly as a Tag Heuer timing clock. Absolutely NO data created, used, nothing. However, it does come with a downside. Your typical small block Chrysler that I

The Chevrolet 350 will not bolt up to the Buick V6.  Bellhousing patterns are different.  However, it’s still a cakewalk to throw in a Chevrolet pattern 700R4....since these cars came with 305's, the 200-4R crossmember can be used for the 700-R4....and they cost about 7 dollars at most junkyards.

So, what’s the deal here? Are they replacing these vehicles, or just re-welding the track bar bracket back on?

In an instance like so, is it possible to trust the rest of the welds in the vehicle?
