Well, we disagree on the proper scope of acceptable discussion and that’s ok.  Omar will be primaried if she keeps this up.  She’ll lose, too.

To be clear, I’m not trying to argue.  I’m only saying that we cannot become the extremists we oppose.  Rep Omar, though what she’s saying may be factually correct, needs to exercise self-restraint.  There are facts, and then there are facts that do not need discussion.  She dabbles too heavily in the latter.

I’m not saying that we have double standards but that we should avoid having double standards by admitting that much of what Rep Omar says is inflammatory and primarily for her benefit.

No, that’s not correct. I respect that you see it that way, but that’s objectively and literally not what she is doing. She knows what she is doing and she is doing it on purpose. She is using Trumpian agitation tactics to score rhetorical goals on those she views as enemies.

You are correct with respect to AOC.  However, Trump is a domestic terrorist as are all of his supporters and most of the right wing in general.  I believe this is a more accepted line of thought than you let on and one to which I subscribe.

I would sooner call Trump a domestic terrorist than this woman. The division he’s sewn throughout the world is remarkable. An achievement matched by but one figure in history.  He had a mustache.
