Why would this make any more noise than if the tools or whatever were held in the bed instead? The two are fixed together.

Thermoelectric generators come to mind. Complex, expensive, and inefficient. Not worth it. At least not with current technology.

I mean 60601-1 lets you have temporary human contact with temps just under that. So it really isn’t scorchingly hot.

Why do we need to imagine? Laptop GPUs average 140 - 194F, with a max of 221F, let alone 140F. Just internal temperature is not the same as external temperature. (Not that laptops don’t get quite hot)

I agree with all you said and its all good battery info...I guess my point is that calling attention to temperatures that batteries must endure would have a bigger impact if those temperatures weren’t a little closer to what most people set their water heater at. 

Wait, who commutes with these tires? Who actually drives more than 20miles on public roads with these tires? Honestly, with the price of the tire, its often cheaper to get a second set of wheels and have dedicated track rubber.
