How about, instead of limiting the number of ride sharing licenses, they just ask for the government to abolish the license system imposed on them altogether? If they truly wanted “fair competition*”, that would be the solution.

How is a service that literally makes it possible for a lot of people to make some money without working at mcdonalds a leech? That makes zero sense!
Kinda hard to turn around on an interstate off-ramp and down one way streets...
It’s Monday and I still can’t buy a RWD Fusion or Camry.
Sure but it’s not currently in the rulebook, so the NASCAR cult of bending rules until the rules are changed stands.
Wouldn’t it just be easier to say the wiper has to be moving or be stored below the cowl when turned off?
And thats why we have weapons to protect us from such a tyrannical government.

I take it you liked our support during the second world war.
North Carolina did pass that law. It’s only a crime to run over them if you intentionally sought out protesters. Of course, I’m not doing that, I would just be trying to get my wife to the hospital so she can birth our child.
Awww poor babies, is your government protected monopoly that allowed you to overcharge for bad service no longer protected. Boo fucking hoo.
Fun indeed.
Not only is it not illegal to run over protesters who are illegally obstructing traffic, some states are trying to pass laws that PROTECT drivers rights to do so.
Anyone else remember the story of the Japanese bus drivers that protested with free rides?
It’s also been illegal to willfully obstruct traffic for as long as there have been streets. It’s not a new thing.
Well then, change the regs, citizens. Don’t get pissed at citizens for taking advantage of the regulations that were written.
Reporting for duty!
Trust me, I really hope it doesn’t happen, and I’m going to give them a chance to move before I do, but I am not going to risk any complications that can’t be attended to because people decided the middle of the street was the best place to protest.
If that was the issue, why are aren’t cabbies protesting to change the regulations? Oh yeah, they only want a monopoly where they can continue to have shitty service and go out of their way to meet the needs of the market.
“We have no idea how to be relevant, so we need the bullies in government to limit the innovation of innovators!”
