The only way not buying that mocha will help you retire is if you put that ‘saved’ $5.00 in an account that you don’t normally use. At least for me, if I did not spend it on a mocha, I would spend it on something else;

SO if it’s 50 years of being miserly to hopefully live long enough to enjoy your $2 mil nest egg? Eh.

A response I read about the coffee thing is if it’s anything you buy regularly and truly enjoy it, then why would you want that out of your life? I feel “cut out the coffee” advice is better suited for things that aren’t enjoyed or actually being used.

The big bogey there: If I leave the company, I owe it all back immediately. If I had cashed out, there are no strings attached.

The point was not the Ferrari. The point was that sanctimony regarding other people’s financial choices is generally inappropriate and misplaced.

You’re right; frugality is a good trait to cultivate, as long as it’s kept in perspective and aligned with financial goals. But, sooner or later, making more money is the real solution to not being broke.

If you think it’s child porn, what does everybody else that was watching it get charged with?  Corruption of a minor?

The limits to acceleration and braking are the tires, not the power output of the motors. You’re also not flat out the entire track, it’s not Talladega. You’ll see a bit of reduction in load by adding the second motor from both accelerating and braking, so it’d definitely make it farther than the first one did.

Interesting metric as a share of GDP, considering the entire point of it was to increase the GDP.  Sure, we could tax everybody at 100% and GDP would drop like a rock, but the taxes per share of GDP would be amazing....

What you’re saying is actually pretty fascinating. So because of the mix of components, does this mean that a Tesla Model S in effect goes from an AWD car to a 5000 lb FWD car as the rear starts to thermal throttle? How would the car beat the Taycan, which has full power use without throttling over several laps?

You probably still talk about ‘taping’ tv shows so chill out man.

I mean, they could, if you suddenly decide to start spending more than you can pay off, but seeing as you have an enormous amount of control over what spending goes on your credit card, it’s highly unlikely, like getting struck by lightning.

Deficits are bad because it increases our debt, which when interest rates go up increases our deficits to pay that interest, it’s a feedback loop.

Except much of this increase isn’t because of government spending. It’s because the government cut taxes

There’s a reason the LJ is a legend that sells for exponentially more than a standard TJ,

Let’s be honest... Most BRZ owners will use its capabilities weekly at least.

Instead, I was just theorizing that the side of a highway would be a reasonable place to build smaller scale wind generators, due to their lack of obstructions like trees and buildings.

Kia’s designers still “finding inspiration” from other cars I see.

If I had my way, the general public wouldn’t be allowed to buy any car larger than a 90's Civic or Echo, they wouldn’t be able to lower them, and they wouldn’t be able to mod them in a way that produces more noise/pollution. Engines over 100 hp would only be sold to business and sports cars wouldn’t even exist because
