Ah, so Gen X physics is different than normal physics. At what age does physics change, and what age does it change back? Sorry for the questions, but this is a concept I have not been exposed to yet.

I get that being able to do other things could be a worthwhile trade off for a longer trip, but at some point, I’d think that being cooped up in the car for longer than necessary would get annoying too.

However, why is it that we always side with the notion that everything is a race to the bottom? If a company treats workers poorly or paid them too low, they should quit and do something else, and let the less skilled/poorer/more desperate people take the undesirable jobs. Why is it that we have to claw and climb…

One person can go find another job, but that job still exists, the opening is still there and then that new person is getting screwed. 

Walmart typically does not give new hires full time hours. Also- my understanding is that they will change your hours constantly. During the slow times you might only get 20 hours. 

Sure. They can get a job as a cab driver. Oh wait a second- all the cab driving jobs have been replaced by who?
