I mean that’s usually the main difference between high and low beams. In halogen systems they often use the same bulbs, they are just aimed differently.

So you are a contributor to this idea that automatic headlights are not necessary. Please stop. 

I don’t have any issues with HID/LEDs when they are in the correct housings. The people that are putting them in the incorrect housings (amazaon/ebay “conversions”) are the issue.

I wish the police enforced some kind of standard for headlights and tailgatingas much they enforce speeding laws. The way things are now really penalize your average car owner and it passively convinces people to drive bigger/taller cars.

But moonlight helps a ton, especially if it’s anywhere near full.  You definitely don’t need headlights to see on some nights, just to be seen.

Some cars do already have automatic high beams, which stay on until the system senses an oncoming car. But then it switches to low beams once it does, effectively leaving you temporarily with poorer visibility.

You’d get there eventually though, as long as you could be responsible and pretend it’s not there.

Add to the fact that it’s still a truck bed; I would never put my groceries in it, unless I feel like retrieving individual items from every corner of the bed.
