I don’t know how sponsorship money at the F1/MotoGP/IndyCar/NASCAR/WSBK level is paid. It seems that it is not paid upfront but in installments. That would seem to offer the sponsor protection in case the team itself goes tits up. Rare, but it does happen and I imagine primary sponsors would otherwise be out huge sums…

I just don’t understand how anybody can seriously believe in crypto currency and NFTs as viable investments. And any team (in any sport) taking a crypto currency exchange sponsorship money?

This show was a huge favorite among my friends and I back in the 5th grade.

I think it was Jacky Steward that really pushed for these things. On a lot of race tracks back when, if you slide off road, you slide REALLY off road and going into the trees at speed is a bad thing even today, but back then was pretty much instant death.

Yes, Armco barriers are really a thing. You know the steel guard rail on posts on the highway? That’s an Armco barrier. On a track they’re usually stacked to make a more significant barrier, though it’s a somewhat dated one that doesn’t usually appear on FIA Grade 1 tracks because there are better options.

It never ceases to amaze me how people can’t just scroll past an article they have no interest in. Instead, they click on it and post a comment. It is a dark blue grey, might have a tinge of green, but basically blue grey.  Jeep offered a similar color called “Anvil” on some of their models. The Jeep one may have has more green in it.
