Well in the 80's we had no airbags, roll down windows and an AM radio, not even a passenger side mirror. Hmm I wonder if all the tech and safety standards cost money?

There are slightly difficult fire roads etc.. where you might not want to take something less capable but you can move faster. I have a 52' M37 Dodge and I don’t want to rock crawl, it is fun crossing rivers and going around the fire roads with an occasional obstacle.
