You missed an important follow up question to Ms. Cook’s statement that antique vehicles are kosher: “These vehicles are over 25 years old, does that not make them antique?”

“Four score and Q7 years ago...”
Gives all new meaning to “Railsplitter”
“A house divided by a Q7 cannot stand”
Heresy!
Buying new cars instead of used.
Tires. Don’t buy the cheap Chinese/Taiwanese tires that are extremely hard and increase your braking distance. They lack grip and tend to handle abysmally in the rain. There’s plenty of cheap tires made by proper tire manufacturers you should buy instead if you’re working with a limited budget.
Anything that doesn’t come from Harbor Freight.
Yes! I detail cars as a side gig and you can tell some cars weren’t designed with a thought for how you’d clean it. I think the first gen Honda Pilot is my all-time worst offender. So many little pockets and crevices that were pretty much impossible to clean.

How is “make it a hotel/casino” not the #1 option. You know how much money casinos make?
I wouldn’t spend that kind of money, either, which is why I’d rather make my own bus.
$17k for an 8 year old Transit Connect with some drawers and a bed? $18k for a 21 year old Dodge with over 250k miles? $10k for a janky looking skoolie build? No thanks. Honestly, the 32 year old Ford camper looks like the best value to me and that’s still way too much for my liking.
