If I could have gotten a Fit with the turbo 1.5 and 6 speed that are in my Civic sport I would have gotten it instead.

I agree, make it limited edition and speculators will buy them. Just make it a manual and a few people will buy them but the majority of the vocal manual enthusiasts will disappear because of some arbitrary reason.
It’s the diesel powering a generator or the wheels. You could isolate the engine from the chassis and probably make it fairly quiet with little vibration that the driver or passengers would feel. In the case of the rotary in this application it feels like something that has the worst option because you never…
Not enough stars on this one. And rheostats to control the fans.
I think another component was it was cheaper not to design and build that gear with synchros. A lot of designs first gear and reverse weren’t constant mesh and slid forward and backwards to engage and disengage. If you look at it from they perspective I don’t think they saw it as a slight because your couldn’t shift…
I can confirm that at least until 06-07 they still had some manuals. We did equipment moves for a local symphony. It was probably the best thing for thier insurance because of the truck was a manual a lot of the worse drivers had to ride because they couldn't drive it.
I wonder if a lot of the people are just driving a worn out vehicle rather rather than a truly bad manual transmission. A lot of cable operated shifters have have rubber bushings that pound out and make for a sloppy shift but in less than an hour you can usually replace them. I would nominate Ford full size pickups…
They had rubber bushings that wore out. If you replaced the bushings they were fairly good, like the neon. Maybe not amazing, but above average.
Idk, it seems like they are skipping over the bringing in a European car and just making it bigger and squishy without a bigger engine, seeing it flop and then giving up steps.
Caliber SRT4. People hoped it would be a successor to the Neon SRT 4, but even Chrysler enthusiast sites like allpar couldn't really get too excited about it.
Weight and complexity. Nothing to the handling although people seem to perceive that it helps
This jerk needs to get out of the way so the truckers can slow down traffic
Do they move quickly, I have never gotten food in under 15 minutes at one. Multiple tries and I don't do special orders so it should be quick. They do stuff that makes them look like they are trying to be fast but things seem to be super inside the building
I don’t know if your are replying to the wrong person or wrapped up in all the replies you got but most of what you said is not relevant to my comment. I said that mask mandates in a particular area were not an indicator of safety or spread and that politics and political party affiliation are a significant…
In a world where health officials can the shots and go off data that is true. I can say in Montana we got not cases in the Delta or omicron waves than the previous waves but had less mandates and kids were in person mask optional during a worse surge. The difference is the state elected a new Jersey transplant for a…
If you are getting 20 across Montana you are probably driving easy down the high line with a 40 mph trail wind.
Also my grandpa worked for the country fleet, aka managed sheriff's vehicles and my dad worked at a dealer and just in general from talking with police about thier vehicles they are almost always opposed to the new model of vehicle coming into the fleets. This goes back to the diplomats of the 80s, the caprice, crown…
I think some companies don't finance vehicles over 100k miles. If you are paying cash it is less compelling but with a loan your rates might be different
My grandpa has a story from when he worked in an alignment shop and a guy can in with a Lincoln in the 60s that no one would do a tune up on. The guy said he didn’t care what what he did, he just wanted a tune up with new spark plugs. The solution was to take a hole saw to the inner fender where each plug was so you…
The power of cult of personalities is strong, maybe they never break a certain threshold of the market because of stuff like this but it seems like a certain percentage of people have chosen a side with or against Tesla who would not be swayed.
