I have to agree. It seems like no matter what the car is there is at least one example of it that runs some ridiculous amount of miles with no apparent problems and sometimes no regard from the owner. All I am seeing is pickup with lots of highway miles and correct maintenance performs exactly how you would expect

If it has driven mostly on paved roads it could very well be the first set. My Ram 1500 is just starting to show a slight bit of slack at 120k with a fair bit of towing and winter and dirt road driving.

I agree, plus after the fees from the auction house and the money you end up investing to promote it, the real winner is always the auction house. On the other side craigslist doesn’t seem appropriate for a car like this either. It seems like there is some sort of dealer who either tailors to this niche so you dont

Wow, it has never sunk in how narrow that that track is. I got to do a driving school at Sonoma and there’s no comparison between the two. It most takes guts to drive this on track on the edge, especially the wrong way.

Holy dumpster fire Batman. The only way this could get worse would be if there were to actually produce working cars.

Best sports car has to be the Miata. Worst sports car, the Fiat 124 Spider. Genius, unpopular opinion, troll? I will let you decide.

I’m pretty sure this guy would be as terrible to deal with as that car is to look at. Lines like “Major head turner” “SMOG EXEMPT” multiple times in different ways and the smattering of all caps throughout the add make it a classic dont touch this craigslist add. Perhaps almost one par with a 92 Cummins Ram that

I know what better with the 2018 1989 Car of the Year Awards, the Dodge Caravan with the 2.5 Turbo.

I’m pretty sure there was a Buick Grand National that year, as well as Shelby Lancer. Also 87 Cherokee, if I remember correctly that is the first year they had the 4.0 inline six.

4 links can be tuned to do quite a bit. By adjusting the panhard bar, upper ,or lower links you can change the behavior of the car pretty drastically. When you start with a pretty clean slate like this car, something simple and adjustable is a pretty appealing option. When you start with a 240sx you probably

I just cant stop focusing on the strut front suspension. I digging parts of the build, and although my personal preference would be to make a corner carver out of it I respect the innovation and craftsmanship. I wish more street rodders in America would break the mold a little bit. If it has a Smallblock Chevy and

A bunch of tools, a bench vice and a Dremel. Once I find some heads I am going to try my hand a porting them for my MGB.

Honestly I would account more of it to the tighter tolerances and better rubber and synthetic components available. Each generation of vehicles seems to have a marked improvement and my pickup with non grease-able ball joints has over 120k miles with original CV axles, shocks, ball joints, tire rods and all of its

I totally agree that retrofitting modern drivetrains, brakes and other components makes old cars much more enjoyable. My biggest complaint about my pickup is its about as good as it can be. Its quiet, efficient for its size and has enough power that if you dont appreciate the laws of physics you could get in a lot

I haven’t agreed with an article on Jalopnik more in quite some time. I have two older cars with carburetors and once you have lived with fuel injection fiddling with the old systems just isnt fun on a daily basis. The old cars had more character, but much like the drunk uncle at family gatherings, that much

Well in the grand scheme of sales, Tesla really isn’t much of anything at the moment. Whether the 3 breaks through into the market enough to make a large impact and sustainable profit without subsidies remains to be seen. In doing so they break into the market of the big automakers who can afford to take a loss on

Whether he thought its legal or not, or whether he thought he can get away with it or not, did it ever cross his mind that its just not the right thing to do?

Thats a good idea, I always thought it was too hard to burn my legs on the exhaust getting out of a Viper. It just doesn’t punish you enough.

With no mention of suspension changes to handle the extra weight, I wonder how sorted out it is... but I also have little doubt if its terrible to drive I could get my money back out of it by parting it out, or throw the drivetrain in my MGB autocross car and think of something fun to do with the Celica body. It may

This was exactly what I was thinking reading this. Did they expect things to change once they got the car? Did they not test drive any other cars? I wonder how many of these people went into a dealer, test drove one car and got the hard sell and didn’t walk away and test drive more cars like they should have.
