uhhh...what? All people deserve the right to express their gender and live in their bodies in a way that works for them. Party lines or skin color have nothing to do with that. In my opinion, anyone who speaks openly about their nonconforming gender identity to a public that is widely uneducated, and in many cases

I’m pretty sure he’s a 9/11 truther. I cannot.

And also, notably, not a transgender woman.

Wait, who? I had to look her up, but then realized I had seen things she was in but somehow never noticed who she was.

it literally can’t be worse than Farrah Abraham’s, at least

For as “hardcore” as Miley thinks she is, she sure does like the most basic bros.

So does Eve’s role in Star Trek make her an... astroTERF?

I think it’s bullshit that there’s not more Black Widow merch either. Or Peggy Carter. WHERE IS MY AGENT CARTER ACTION FIGURE, HUH, MARVEL?????

I hate to defend Renner, but actors are known for getting really fucking loopy during press junkets. They are beyond boring and mind-numbing. So, yeah, it wasn’t the greatest answer (ETA, and yeah, his apology was terrible). But watching the video, it seems PAINFULLY obvious that they weren’t even CLOSE to presenting

Because faux-outrage sheds pounds and makes your hair shinier?

Right, that was my thought too. The joke was on guys that say that kind of thing after rejection. THAT’s what they were making fun of.

I think the outrage is about how casually they were calling a female character a slut and whore. It was not funny and really lazy of both of them. Especially since both know Scarlett ,who portrays the character, and how she hates being asked dismissive questions. And the apology from Renner is even worse. At least

Perhaps they could have answered exactly what is in your second paragraph; that it’s unfortunate the only female superhero needs to have some sort of sexual tension with one of the male characters in every movie she’s in.

I feel like I'm falling into two camps here. Like, honestly the outrage over it feels kind of... Manufactured. It's like people heard it and were like "Oh, here's something we can be pissed off about." Like a dumb joke in an interview doesn't deserve nearly this much attention.

okay i’m admittedly biased here (we all know my love for chris evans runs really deep), but i feel like the outrage for the whole thing is disproportionate. Yes, it was a dumb-ass thing to say. It was a juvenile answer to a fucking dumb-ass question. i mean really. what is even a real answer to that question?

Tony Stark was a WAY bigger slut than Natasha Romanoff.

They are obviously joking and answering a question about shipping psuedo in character (but not really). If anything, this comes across like making fun of people who can’t get over being jilted. Perhaps they shouldn’t have said it, but after watching the video, I fail to see any major aggressions.

Or if you look at it the other way, asking her to pay 12k to get the fuck out of Williamsburg. Which is totally a fair price IMO.

Thank GOD there aren’t more women in showbiz or we’d have to read more about what they wear and their grooming habits amirite ladies?
