I had to look up what numbers were historically “normal”. In the process I saw a lot of places backing up that 76,000 in February number. If that continued all year, we’d have to go back 10 years or so to find a year with similar immigration. So yeah, I can agree we have a lot of people coming now (after years of what

Definitely did this one time.  ... Including the part where you bring one home, albeit a week later.

I really pushed for moissanite instead of diamond. But the fiancee found a ring she wanted with such a small diamond that there wasn’t much savings to be had. Ended up getting my ring, her engagement ring and wedding band, all for what I expected to spend on just the engagement ring.

Glad I’m not the only one to have noticed this.

Isn’t 112mph a pretty common speed governor?  Pretty sure that was the limit on my mustang, and recall them using that on the non-V8's until fairly recently.  I also thought I’ve heard of economy cars either being limited at 112, or just not having the power to make it there.

I feel like I finally found my home after many years adrift at sea. I hate basically all creamy-white sauces. I think whipped cream is the only one I give a pass. But I loathe mayo, ranch (or any creamy dressing), sour cream, cream cheese with a passion. Just the smell of ranch is enough to make me start gagging.

Your question made me curious.  A quick search says it expired August 23, 2018.  So yay it’s gone, but not long enough for us to see anything come of it.  But I also see some people mentioning it expiring in 2014.  So maybe they’ve found ways to extend it?

I always wanted a powerwheel as a kid. Then I won one at the local grocery store (dad entered with all of our names. My name won)! It was a coca-cola nascar.

I only ever drove it once in one room of our basement before my dad hung it on the wall in that room. Pretty sure we sold it for almost nothing when moving,

That kid is awesome and has the right attitude. Way more likely to pull out a win with people in a good mood. And it’s often easier to help people out than to attempt any sort of “carry”, and more fun too.

The worst I’ve had is being redirected to super sketchy looking webpages/ads shortly after the article page has loaded. These sites actually act like all the sites I was taught were full of viruses as a kid.

I wish mine was only down 20%.  I’ll be holding a while until this all smooths over.

Maybe it’s just a Papillon thing?  My fiancee’s is that exactly that excited and enthusiastic about everything.  Since in her mind everything in existence can lead to food.

I like my beef lean, so this actually sounds like my preferred version of ground beef.

More support from the Jalopnik side here.  The car choices are awesome.

In the world of superficial phone-swipe based dating at least, definitely. My fiancee has even said it made a difference to her when she would look for or meet guys.

Yeah low-key, but emotionally meaningful proposals! My fiancee and I proposed to each other with rings that just came in that day, when I got to her house for the weekend.

Neutral: From the little I’ve read about them, solid state batteries sound like they’d be a big break-through if they can find a cheaper manufacturing method.  They sound like a good answer to many of the problems with current batteries, but it’s hard to tell when most of them just exist in research.

It does appear so!  Sorry for the confusion! I should probably go work on my reading skills so I don’t skip over words in the future.  hahah.

You just said I’m not right, then agreed with me, and put up supporting evidence.

Just realized I mis-read the OP’s comment.  I read it as “David wrote and article IN RESPONSE to the guy who guys “ACTUALLY...”   I’m doin’ good at this reading thing.
