This boss is at the end of the last raid for the expansion. It has 10 bosses, and a tiny bit of trash you have to clear beforehand to reach it. And it resets once a week, requiring a guild to re-clear the prior bosses. But once you’re at this boss, you can just keep trying the boss over and over until the next week’s

In addition to Rerry’s comment, it may also be the pace of the attempts are faster in WoW. Even looking back within WoW’s history it’s possible to reset and make a new attempt MUCH faster now days than it was originally. And my understanding is that Everquest is a generally slower pace game where I can see it taking a

Oh this was totally me as a kid, starting around when I was 2! Except with planes. I had tons of books about planes. Almost every toy I had was a plane. When I started pre-school they found the only plane toy in storage for me. At an air show I went up to a pilot standing by his plane on display and started telling

I think we are at a point where a fancy high efficiency IC engine can come close to the efficiency of a turbine. With a quick search I’m seeing stuff like Toyota hitting 38% efficiency with an IC engine. I’d expect most gas turbines to be in the 35-40% range. And since both will be best operated at a steady RPM and

I’ve used a stripped bolt removers for it when I bought a car with locks and the previous owner didn’t know where the key was. Worked fantastic since they didn’t care what shape it was, so long as they could bite in.

I don’t see it mentioned anywhere, so I figure I’ll ask it. What tires are they using for these numbers? I’ve been under the impression that all the other super/hyper cars doing 0-60 in the low 2's have near-slick tires with super soft compounds. This means that they will be able to get sticky enough to actually be

The Bugatti also weighs a very significant amount more, which loads the tires more. So the tires thing is as much a Bugatti problem, as it is a speed one.

I think the difference is vehicle weight. Additional weight will create much higher loads on the tires.

I’m practically throwing my wallet at the screen, but my computer doesn’t seem to accept payment.

I agree there’ll be a large drop off after people have tried it. But as long as they don’t spread people out too much across too many servers, there should easily be enough people for some healthy servers (judging by the private scene.)

As a Magnum RT owner, this was my first thought upon reading the title.

Ooo, so they’ve gone backwards on feeling on 7 then?

I thought going into Forza 5, Turn 10 did a ton of tire research. Supposedly so much that they claimed to have better models/data than the tire manufacturers themselves. Seems like an interesting claim I admit, but I guess the tire manufacturers didn’t have some of the information they needed, so they had to do tests

I’ve always been kind of curious about this point, as it comes up a lot. What specifically is it that keeps Forza from being a sim racer? I haven’t had a chance to really play any of the serious sims, like iRacing or rFactor, so this is from a real point of curiousity for me.

Oh hey, another person involved with wind turbines on here! Although I work on the manufacturing/engineering side.

From an emissions standpoint they’re clean. Very clean actually. From Wikipedia: “The electricity sector in France is dominated by nuclear power, which accounted for 72.3% of total production in 2016, while renewables and fossil fuels accounted for 17.8% and 8.6%, respectively.”

In addition to any messages it was intended to send, launching stuff into space is a very public event. Vandenburg is close enough to LA that people would definitely notice something launching.

You mean 5.7? Yeah the 5.7 is pretty nice. It’s the one I have.

PT cruiser I can understand, but why the Magnum? What’s wrong with a V8 wagon that was actually sold in the US? They’re comfy and quiet highway cruisers that have a lot of practicality. And then when you’re done being boring it can go hold its own through some mountain roads while making glorious V8 noises.

Probably the Mosler/Consulier GTP. Such a strange sight to see driving around commuting to and from work. Saw the same one several times as they appeared to work near me.
