I decided to look at the actual posting to see where on earth someone would think doing this to an SVT Cobra was a good decision....you get 1 guess....

The simplest answer to a problem is usually the best answer.
If he manual swapped an RS3, or even an S3. That would be really special. A TDI makes this vehicle only appeal to a very very particular person.
As Was I...sooo
And when winter is over, get those all-season puppies put on, because winter tires don’t do well on dry pavement.
So made me think of this...
I agree with you on that. I would only ever consider the flex in AWD and E.B trim. I’m saying I don’t think Stewart cares about that.
Hmmmm....didn’t see AWD and 3.5 EB in the “wants” category....I guess I must have missed that...
Hence the reason I included a link to one that is selling for 10k
Cheap and wierd you say....
TVR = Taking the 5.0 Miata swap to a whole new level.
It’s all the gears these new cars have. With the ZF 8 speed they take the first 2 gears and design them to yield the fastest 0-60 time. Then they have another 6 left (total number of gears the majority of cars had ten years ago) to get the fuel economy and driving characteristics they want.
MR drivetrain is going to change this vehicle entirely. The price should follow suit. Times are changing.
Comparing those prices, yeah its a total crap deal. I didn’t know how cheap it was elsewhere. Good to know.
When I got a new job in Markham (7 and the 404), I was living in Kitchener. For the 3 month probation period, before I got a place in North York, I commuted. I tried the 401 twice in that 3 months. It was insane. I was grumpy as all hell and it took over twice as long. Sure I ended up having a monthly ETR bill of $330…
2 seats, 3 pedals, 4 driven wheels, 5 gears and 6 cylinders. Through in some fiberglass box sides an odometer that read 330,000 miles and that was my truck before it got sent to the farm. (No litterally, I didn’t scrap it, It went to a friends farm as a field truck for the price of a bottle of scotch )
The ETR is your friend....Honestly, a transponder is less than $100/year. And so what if you take the 407 for 50 km’s in the height of rush hour @ 40 cents/km. That’s only ~$20.
3 words.....rear main seal. I’ve done half a dozen on the 5.0 H.O’s. You’re either pulling the trans, or pulling the engine to do it. Maybe they dropped it out with the k-member? Either way, the clutch and flywheel are coming off so why not replace that 30 y/o thing with something a little better? They also probabally…
Says 100% of the people that buys this car.
