Mine too!

Any old ass Canadians around these parts?! When Jagged Little Pill came out it was a real WTF Too Hot moment from myself and peers.

A lot of the bands you mentioned started in the early 90's and some like RHCP started in the 80's so they already had a bit of longevity by then. Limp Bizkit on the other hand...

I feel you I have a 19 year old - he’s only 3-4 years younger than some of my co-workers! I have to say though I like my early 20's coworkers more than my early 30’s coworkers (I’m 41)

Sometimes I wish they’d break the fourth wall. I think it would be hilarious to watch Jax deal with fans, everytime he’s on WWHL he get so pissy at the mean questions both Andy and the fans ask him.

I was 10 when I saw Baby Boom and to this day I fantasize about my would be country house in Vermont!

Right!? I got three as well and I’m still like wtf did I do?!

As a mom of three (the oldest of which is 18)- I concur and add that your advice can be applied to kids of all ages!

I thought that was a truck!

Thank you- I will check that book out! I’ve had a lot of support from black women who have biracial children, and annoying enough- a lot of subtle blow back from liberal white people. Ive had white people who didn’t realize I was biracial (to be honest even though I’m pretty light skinned, its my hair that throws

“Black culture is carried with Black women”- these are the words of truth, my white mother was unable and didn’t even try to raise me with any sense of my blackness and me being physically passing made her non job even easier. I’m trying to own raise my 1/4 black daughter, not to be a black girl-I can’t do that, but

I also apparently don’t know the difference between “no” and “know”. I should step away from the internet for awhile.

So I legit no nothing about Star Wars- I’ve seen them, agree Han Solo was hot but thats about it..so here I am reading your post “hmm who is this Ackbar guy?”, so I go to google... :D

As a mixed person myself I hate this as well - I’m not the combo that looks the “nicest” to the Western male mindset - my Afro features are not “pleasing” to their eyes. I was reminded of this quite often growing up. :/

I tried to order a plant and Amazon won’t ship it to me! :(

Yep, this is me to a “t”- VPR is must see TV, SH is when I start putting on my face mask, tidy up and various other activities. It’s a total background show.

Good on you! I’m biracial as well -white mom, black dad, I’m very light skinned but with black features, grew up in Canada with my white family, there is nothing worse than that feeling of “otherness”. I now live in a city where my children can be around all shades and nationalities and being “brown” is not a bad

It sad that when I read your comment I was like “wonder if that poster knows my trainer - a biracial guy from MN”, cause there like 4 of you there right? :D I’m biracial as well - except I look like raw potato left on the counter. :P

You sounds almost like me- except I’m a bit older at 40 and live in a crappy small apartment with 3 kids and not 1! Ive tried to reach out and people are flaky AF and every time  I get the excuses and no shows it kills a little part of me that wants to be social. When I turned 40 I briefly thought about having a party

OMG -you were not kidding about the crotch thing!
