I’ve read all of hers but the latest! I hate that it sucked!!!

I am so, so sad this show is over. I loved the book, and I had serious doubts when I heard the casting. But every single person was fantastic, and played those parts perfectly. They have all risen in my esteem, especially Nicole Kidman and Shailene Woodley.

I feel like that could go badly. Lots of things sound worse on paper than they are in real life. If my husband had given me s binder with all his flaws, I probably would have said, “nah, not for me,” and kept on walking. But we’ve been married pretty happily for 14 years, so I guess his flaws are all ones I can live

Ha! My sister student taught there, and we sing a delightful song about it. It goes “winder, winder, winder” in the most redneck accent you can muster.

Right?! When they showed him dancing with his light saber, I was like, “well, hell, he’s got my vote!”

After four boys, my family finally has my delightful niece, Caroline. She is named after the Old Crow Medicine Show song, and she does indeed do just fine. Congratulations to Ms. Wintour and the rest of her clan.

Agreed- but I must point out that Tami Taylor is the glaring exception to that rule.

Forget the men, the women are stunning! How do they look even better than they did in the movie?

Aurelia, Colin Firth’s Portuguese maid. She’s lovely.

I’m painting my kitchen cabinets. It might be going well, it might be a disaster. Too soon to tell! They were a very late-90s cherry with brass hardware. I’m very lazy and hate prep, so I’m using chalk paint to avoid sanding. I can’t tell yet if it’s going to turn out to be charming, or shoddy-looking. Fingers

Bless his dorky heart.

I abandoned my family for the weekend and went to the beach with my mom. It has been the most wonderful two days of shopping, drinking, and laughing. It has been a much-needed break from reality. Yay for mental health break, and yay for awesome relationships with moms!

I am so sorry for the loss of your lovely daughter. I wish that there were better words, but my heart truly goes out to you.

Me too! I watch 90% of it with this big, dopey grin on my face.

Oddly enough, it kind of does. Ugly on the inside ought to be ugly on the outside.

Ugh, he was so dreamy!!! I mean, cute to the point that it almost hurt to look at him. And then he turns out to be a nasty pedophile. So disappointing.

No, damnit! Not Hyde! I fucking love Hyde. I also loved Clif Huxtable, Puck from Glee, and Reverend Camden on 7th Heaven, so I obviously have questionable taste. But this bums me out.

It’s so blatantly heavy-handed with the emotional manipulation that I think it makes it easier to watch. Like they’re so obviously trying to make you cry that it makes me you far less likely to actually cry. Plus, all the characters are slightly obnoxious and unlikeable, so you become less emotionally invested.

I saw a cute belt at TJ Maxx today. Then I saw the Ivanka Trump label and said, “fuck that.”

Nice! Anything that gives you more storage space is a very worthwhile project!
