That comment section was despicable and inexcusable. It’s infuriating how as Black people we can fight against the racism we face while simultaneously upholding the bigotry trans & nb people live through.

I think that’s part of OPs point. It wasn’t just the trolls that made that section so painful, a big chunk the “smart, hilarious and opinionated” not overtly trolling folks did their share too with the whole “I support trans rights, but transwomen aren’t women” thing.
