Unless you are in the top 1% of YouTube channels, odds are ads are not paying for your creators content either. There’s a reason Patreon and Raid Shadows Skinner Box are fairly prominent on YT.

Interesting from a technical standpoint, but I’d just like to point out that ads aren’t the enemy - they’re literally what pays for the video you’re watching for free.  If I’m watching a content creator that I want to support, I’ll let the ad run the full length instead of skipping, as they get more $$ that way.

I think this is supposed to be what to bring to a riot.  If your “protest” is broken up by tear gas, you are doing it wrong.

We help people pay their rent because all their money to going towards cancer treatment, or we raise money for the free bed…

As inadequate as the government’s response is, the amounts being bandied about here are in total rounding errors compared to even the paltry aid that the hardest hit Americans have received from the government.

Is it though? Because many of us have fully understood this since the beginning and I’m not entirely sure there’s much benefit to thinking about it any more than you have to. My awareness of the issue certainly hasn’t done anything but make me more miserable.
