I think there was a little of hoarding, but also a lot influenced by the way TP is sold. We’re used to the shelves being filled with 12 and 24-packs, but those take up a lot of shelf space. Then you’ve also got people being at home more. Magic recipe for empty shelves!

I think the problem with toilet paper is no longer hoarding - it’s the fact that more people are staying home and using more of the home-sized toilet paper rolls. Less people at work/schools/movie theaters/libraries/etc using the industrial-sized rolls (which are very easy to find in my experience, if you want them).

TL;DR shouldn’t self-diagnose off the interweb anyway.

Ya, my anxiety loves to invent new ways to freak me out and its been having a field day since this pandemic has started kicking into high gear. Keeping it under control has always been a chore but its gotten more difficult of late. Thanks for all the good info here. I know a lot of people will appreciate this.

As someone who works in the biotech industry I will say everything that is told here is not a hard and fast rule. Many drugs get approved with only a Ph1/2 combined study and never having to do a Ph3.
