that really stinks. sorry to hear it. hope the rewards are worth it.

wow, that is an eye-opener too. thanks for sharing. I hope you can find a better environment than that. No one can keep that pace up indefinitely, certainly not if they have a family.

I agree with the ideas and disagree with the some of the framing. it's all about setting reasonable expectations, boundaries and then holding yourself and everyone else accountable. So when someone asks you something, you can say I'll get it done and it will be. And if it is extra, they'll know it and hopefully try

thank you! I was looking for that.

haha...not.

because movie theatres make almost no money on selling tickets, everything they earn comes from concession sales. you're not screwing hollywood, your hurting the poor teen who has an after school job.

that was awesome! I love the USB hack.

if it wasn't for my family and my sister and a decent therapist, I would have had a terrible time making it through the loss of my parents. There just is no way to prepare...the best you can do is make every moment with your loved ones count.

sorry if there is a loss involved.

Nice! I do think the exploration of Venus has been underrated. It is a close version of earth too.

well said sir.

that's good and bad advice. I'd simplify it by saying choices have consequences, try to think about that before making big ones.

interesting thought. but what do you do when someone gives you a chance to be completely candid? Is it better to sugarcoat it, or tell the truth and save trouble down the road.

I've already sacrificed enough vacation time as it is. No more!

Haha. I like the Totinos comment. Those pizzas are good.

I hope you don't take offense to this, but you don't really sound that happy. I can relate to what you say. I don't want to feel better when something bad happens to someone, but sometimes it does feel like it validates me.

That stinks. I had a horrible panic attack many years ago, right in the middle of a very stressful point at work. I've been very fortunate to be able to prevent most attacks since with anxiety medication.

Be careful with this advice. Your best bet to advance in a career is invest full time in your day job. I know this doesn't apply universally, but my day job requires enough, that I won't take on any side action.
