While I agree with you, that linked article is ridiculous. It's so short, it can't establish a cohesive point.

Interesting, and I am sorry about your loss. I like the title quote, I don't like the more detailed one in the article. I don't think you should validate yourself on what other people think, but yourself. (sounds kind of like a former president, doesn't it). Plus Vickie Elmer's quote sounds a lot like ego stroking

Do you really believe that?

Yes, I do drink the Kool Aid. I've been at this for over fifteen years. If I didn't believe in what I was doing on, then I only have myself to blame for a colossal waste of time. Unless you are a H1b, getting screwed over at a company is your choice (braces for onslaught of flames).

You need to qualify that. You have to have an effective consequence (e.g. sit in the car) or something that can be done. Kids will only believe rules that are enforced fairly and consistently. Still this is a good article.

How does your head not explode? I could not deal with that.

I totally agree with the naysayers. Seriously, this is just such a common sense no-no. Its vulgar and never should be done period anywhere. Its only going to hurt feelings and create resentment.

any tips for cutting down on mail boxes? I should really boil it down to one, but it is so hard to wean yourself off them.

Yes and no. Making a mistake and learning from it is important too.

Amen. I'll stick to what developmental pediatricians , child psychologists say.

What about the free option. I have a contact called You are going to voicemail. Any number I don't like gets added to it. In the contacts options on Droid phones, you can set that number to go straight to voicemail. Works nicely.

Its very brave of this people to share their budget, especially with the Internet trolls out there. I'm going to do some comparisons and see if I can get ideas. I think the most important thing is don't knock something until you walk a mile in someone's shoes. It's not like these are super rich people.

Not as much fun though.

Still, I'd rather hear someone say I'm too busy vs. its not a priority to a question.

IMHO, this is nothing to do with entitlement. This boss should be doing their own work, which is empowering the team to get their job done. People can be held accountable and given freedom to succeed at the same time.

+1. That is awesome!

and I'm sure monster sells for a gigantic markup :)

how is that?

and who seriously cares about Facebook home? Yes, I'm a facebook user. But no I do not care about this app. Just more crap-ware to make android phones run slower.

The most annoying thing is when you have that orange light on the modem constantly blinking reminding you there's trouble getting the faster connection. Cable wasn't that bad, but I'm still a happy FIOS customer for the moment.

Alright, I'll add one normal comment here. My family belongs to a sponsored babysitting co-op. They are quite nice. Three Friday nights a month, my wife and I can go out for a few hours. Works out great.
