As a former VW owner, agree with you for the most part. Sampled a TDI Golf a couple of years ago, despite the cheat it was quite nice. Not long before that, did ride in a base Jetta... it was crap. My point? take the base trim of just about anything and you are guaranteed to have an uninspiring experience.

Someone please make this into a GIF meme with the 240 saying, “Nope. Nope. Nope. Not gonna go with you.”

I think they should just make it “BUCK”. Their cars are big in China right? what sounds more American than “BUCK”?

*whisper “It’s just a rebadged GM.”

E36 the best? Not by a long shot. Us Americans didn’t even get a real M motor with it.

That would be more appropriate for a deleted and tuned 535d.

If he landed in prison (and he won’t)... judging by the racial make up of nearly all of the prisons in the US, he’d probably be on the receiving end of that golden shower.

Drumpf in prison stripes? Freudian slip?

Every BMW dealer service should include complimentary pair of knee pads.

Only one thing left to do: a bonkers AMG shooting brake (2 doors only).

The car in the article is a “Dakar”? Are you high?

I wish I could deduct a star from your silly question.

The most obvious... money. Regardless of race or gender—unless you are a cream-of-the-crop driver—you gotta have financial backing to have a serious chance of a career.

“Southern California” specific enough for ya?

Realistically, if you took a 911 Safari on a overland expedition, you would strap a few jerry cans of fuel to the roof rack. If you took this Mission-E Safari on the same trip... What do you do once you run out of juice in the middle of nowhere? Tow a trailer with a gas/diesel generator + fuel for said generator?

Meanwhile in Southern California, the typical Rover Disco driver:

Did you think I was implying it does not have enough power? If so, read the thread. I was responding to someone predicting [ignorantly] “210 hp”.

What exactly are you trying to argue about again?

I took a vault tour of the Petersen museum in LA recently (hence no picture). Among the basement tour there was a 90s Indy car that was so low that you could probably only slip a few sheets of paper under the front nose/wing.
