Oh boy. Another EV bashing hit piece. Tell me, is there any reason left to visit this site?

Coming from a guy who benefited from a fossil fuel burning sport his entire life. That’s rich.
If Ranger based, there would be enough room for a meaningfully sized battery pack. If Maverick based, it could be a shared platform with an electric CUV. Hmmm... which horse would you bet on?
Reality check: The average Subaru customer isn’t going to be “opt’ing out” every single weekend. Instead, they’ll be found at the local Coffee Bean, farmer’s market, yoga class, Wholefoods and maybe REI. 228 miles of range is just fine.
Starting price for R1T is still $67.5K. Just with 2 fewer motors and smaller “Standard Pack” battery. Post 3/1, quad motor is a $6k option. Same price increase for the Large Pack option.
Nail on head.
Competing with “200+” range? No contest!
Reminder, you are ready Jalopnik in 2021. Not Jalopnik in 2007 (when things were actually well-written).
And with that you’ve nullified your own argument. Have you spent any time in a base trim BMW anything? Not a good place to be and just as expensive and frustrating to live with when things fail. And they do fail. Comparing a loaded CX-30 to a base X1? Are you friggin’ serious??
If you get the AWD, which means it will be high trim, it will be packaged with safety tech that make rear visibility a non-issue. It’s 2019, not 1972.
Internally, the MX-5 is referred to as the purists’ modern roadster. AWD just doesn’t figure into that DNA. Plus, some people (including a particular peer of yours at Jalopnik) made a big deal over the price jump from ‘18 to ‘19 model year. AWD would only add cost and—more importantly—weight. Power output is now just…
“This prompts the obvious question: why aren’t these countries core Chinese allies, and why aren’t they buying Chinese fighters? That’s perhaps a question the Global Times’ readers should think long and hard about.”
Not if you can’t afford to pay for “green beans and mashed potatoes along with the brownies” all at the same time.
LOL. They’ve already been pretty much online only. Most of the sales are through referrals among owners and their friends.
“The ZJ had that all the American comforts, but in a durable and offroad-able package.”
Or, it could be FWD ICE most of the time with the electric powered rear coming on only in situations where AWD is activated. Remember, the Renegade (even the Trailhawk) is a front-bias AWD.
“High brown racing”. Is that when the septic tank overflows?
Has anyone had Cart de Frisco on the U of O campus or downtown Portland? Decades ago for me, but the thought makes my mouth water. Is it even around still?
The south, where this took place, is full of “toxic masculinity”. So much so that it’s unintelligent to go out of one’s way to point it out.
Someone needs to start the trend of using taxidermied roadkill.
