If I could give you a star I would. Good point, well stated. People just want to be on teams, and it makes everyone lose a little bit.

@JMillsPaysBills: While I, to a point, follow your argument about freedom of speech, I split with you at a very important point. Freedom of speech does not mean that everyone gets to say whatever they want and that no one gets to get in their way or disagree.

I don't mean to beat a dead horse or anything. But isn't this ad:content ratio a bit excessive? Personally I believe it should never exceed 1:1. And when the story bar on the side is taken into account. Yikes. It's like the story is an afterthought. I'm not one to begrudge anyone making money off of their work. But

I'm not trying to poke holes or anything, but you said that with such confidence. Do you have any basis for this theory? It sounds like you have direct knowledge of this kind of trick. Any insight as to how you know this?

"A senior Apple exec apparently said in a recent "private meeting" that it wouldn't make sense to have multiple iPhone models—just the current the model and last year's, sold for cheaper."

Oh my god. Thanks for the tip on the ca.giz link. It's sooo much better. Even the gizmodo.com/classic site is awful. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before that shifts over, too. But for now, it'll do.

Doesn't Lampoon have a requirement of ridicule and satire? Allowing for making fun of something without consequence. This appears to do neither. It just generates profit from another companies image/product.

I'm gonna say, not a lot of picture frames and windows with Home buttons on them...

"then surely we should just be happy that everyone's receiving improved search results, no matter what engine they use?"

But these gestures are based on having a trackpad. Where one finger controls the mouse pointer, two scrolls, etc.

I certainly agree with having the right to the term "app". A term that existed long before the smart phone (although one could argue Apple helped make the term more ubiquitous. I will not, but one could). But I have to agree with Apple on "App Store". There are many other ways to put it "App Market" "App Hub" or come

@epikfail: Yes, kind of. He jointly owned a large chunk (200ish songs) with Sony Music (Sony bought half the rights for like $100 million in the mid 90's). He then used his rights as collateral for a loan from Sony, but never lost them. I have not been able to find out what happened to those rights in the last year

Damnit, Apple! Weren't you paying attention? Liquid metal cannot form objects with chemicals and moving parts. Only solid objects, like knives and stabbing weapons...

The hash tag list for this article is shameless, and a little unsettling.

I'm impressed at the balls on Gizmodo for linking to a post about why 3D sucks in a post sponsored by a company trying to promote 3D.

I only opened this story so I could leave a snarky line like "Seriously? Are we still doing these?"

I'm an iPhone 3gs owner. This is the first time I can officially say I'm jealous of an Android feature. I've heard nothing but good things about Swype, and don't think it will ever see iOS. What a shame.

@shoelessone: Excellent breakdown. But I have to respectfully disagree. I like the new review format. It makes it more digestable, and I can read some sections but not others. But that's probably just because I have a shorter attention span than you.

@kusotare: You are way, way out of line. Not to mention wrong. Your problem is a limited world view. Limited to the forums and websites that you frequent to track down the methods for applying every build of Android onto every phone that's built. And I get that. I've been there. But the truth of the matter is with
