My thoughts exactly. Believing in the fundamental decency of everyone you encounter is a wonderful trait until you encounter a truly indecent person. This goes for politics as well as your personal life.

I kind of hope you are right. I read the front page story in the NYT yesterday about Trump supporters in Iowa still being fully on board. That was more anecdotal (based on interviews with a small group) but it was disheartening.
