We have these trees outside my work! The entire grounds of the former strip mall turned office is covered in this tree an this tree alone. They’ll bloom in the next week or two and for most of the summer the entire place will smell like someone left their tuna sandwich in the sun all day. I bet it’s real nice looking

L3 sounds like shes voiced by Captain Phasma. I mean, I know it’s Phoebe Waller-Bridge, but the vocal effect and just having a similar voice, makes it sound pretty darn close.

Guinness is always on the periphery waiting for me to Irish it up more than I always do. I never regret ordering it, and I never will. I have heard, and I don’t know what the truth is, that the Guinness we get here in the states is not the same as the Guinness overseas. Is that true?

That’s even more than I was using it for, thanks!

I just started using a digital scale. I was never much of a baker, so I didn’t see the need. However, baking and pasta making are better with the scale.

I’m copying your format as I’m bored at work and have opinions:

- When you don’t have a useful comment to leave so you condescendingly pontificate on how content is delivered to you.

I prefer dogs Chicago Style! Now I must flee from this thread forever.

Ugh...I am so very into sour beers. I didn’t want to be as I try as hard as I can not to buy in to beer trends. For instance, the german style lager house at the end of my street has a fucking IPA becuase ski bros can’t be bothered with nuance, only hop nukes. I do not drink this beer in protest. Ok I tried it and

I’m more than a little disappointed that their Czech Dark Lager, Shirtless Putin Catchin’ Rays doesn’t have a label. I will most certainly be visiting them this summer when I’m in Denver. I need to sample these delicacies.

My wife cuts the pint in slices with a bread knife and freezes them in four portions. That way if you’re going to eat the whole pint, you have to take the walk of shame to get another slice of ice cream. As long as my feet support my weight, I’m going for that second slice dammit.

Halo Top Chocolate is an abomination and MUST be purged from this reality. I tried it last week and it’s oddly acidic and tastes like the imitation chocolate in those “chocolate” coins my dad used to give me at Easter. All that said....

I don’t know if manufacturing in the US makes it inauthentic. That’s like saying Toyta isn’t a Japanese car becuase they manufacture them in Georgetown KY.

I believe Noosa is an American company. It may have been founded by Aussies, but it’s home is in CO. Also, they use gelatin in their yogurt making it an outlier from the rest. That gelatin addition makes this more of a soupy Panna Cotta right? I mean I don’t care if it is, you can pry that blood orange yogHurt from my

Let me tell you a story about the best IPA in the world.

Counterpoint, Mexican Gucamole doesn’t use limes, at least traditionally. but they do add mashed onion, cilantro, and chili peppers. Mexican guacamole uses mashed onions to get the bitterness limes have. Also, tomatoes ARE an ingredient in mexican guac.

You’ve gots to get rid of that “cooking sherry” a good bottle of sherry for cooking costs $10-15 and can be stored longer than regular wine. Cooking sherry adds TONS of salt/tastes like garbage. They make it out of undrinkable wine and add all manner of terrible things to it.

Yeah I wouldn’t have bought it either, but the wife bought me a year long all access pass so I got to see them all. I was interested in the Gordon Ramsay, but Puck and Keller are just better at teaching.

I’ve been burning my way through Irish Whisky lately. I’m impressed. It’s the mid point between bourbon and scotch.

We were offered Lore this year at the tasting. I loved it, but the wife preferred Cairdeas. I was real surprised by that as her favorite overall is Lagavulin 16, and Lore feels like a shot across the bow at Lagavulin 16 specifically.
