Oh yeah, duh, I remember that now. In my defense my brain cannot process movement until 4 seconds of continuous action has passed and then it retroactively fills in the blanks, so all I see is nothingness when I scroll past ads, just like the nothingness I see when I gaze into my soul

These guys must be baffled when they watch Die Hard and see Bruce Willis getting increasingly beaten down.

“WHERE WAS THIS GUY’S AGENT?”

I was thinking more of Turturro’s role as Herb Stempel in Quiz Show, which comes close to parody but is still a very sympathetic and real character.

I find this eclectic mix of soul, surf, rock, movie score and country INCREDIBLY problematic. Did you know Tarantino once forced Uma Thurman to listen to Girl You’ll Be a Woman Soon on set? Sure, NOW she blames it on Lawrence Bender, but we all know what’s up.

What a waste of maple syrup. That shit ain’t cheap.

I’m kind of getting the impression that the show is actually going to be taking a critical position the idolatry of Rorschach with his army of followers. Nothing about the way they’ve been shown so far in any of the promotional materials screams, “Hey, aren’t these guys cool/good?” to me.

I think the point of the character was to empathize with him but not sympathize with his views. I just get annoyed when people don’t understand that and think they’re supposed to do both.

As much as I detested that scene, it’s nice to have that song turn up again. Maybe a bunch of kids will see Neverending Story, which would otherwise be kind of dusty by now. Maybe some of them will even read the original novel, which is frankly a stone cold classic of children’s fantasy literature.

You think that’s bad, the movie attempts to replicate reality so vividly that half way through, Simba is shot dead by a poaching Donald Trump, Jr

Jhonen Vasquez on Twitter pointed out that it looks like a lion ate a Lion King fan, and now the fan is singing Lion King songs from inside the lion.

“like it weighs approximately none of its 450 pounds.”

*squeaky voice* “Ha ha! You, ah, come at the king, you best not miss, ha ha!”

I’m looking forward to the photo-real remake of Inside Out, which will just be talking chunks of human brain.

sir this is a bagel boss

I got soooooo tired of all the deus ex machinima. There were way too many instances of people being saved at the last minute. It cheapened the entire season. There were no stakes, and I never even remotely felt like anyone was in any true danger.

But the flayed aren’t portrayed as the hated Other from which society recoils. They’re portrayed as an extreme of social conformity. They’re a hive mind of small-town folk converted around the dining room table while “American Pie” plays on the soundtrack. They’re sexist good ol’ boys still seething with contempt for

I mean I’m a big Jonathan hater but I agree that the battle in the hospital was a really intense and big part of the episode and it was weird not to talk about it

It’s refreshing when he channels Bosom Buddies Tom and it’s not even awkward.  He can still bring that young-Tom goofiness and it doesn’t seem contrived at all.
