I have a theory that these massive, full size pickups, and their ubiquity, are why SUV/CUVs are so prevalent. When I had my S6, it was very unnerving to be next to a factory spec full size, and realize the only thing that would stop the bumper from coming through the window, and into the cabin is the thin B pillar on

Maybe, but my Uncle had an ‘86 S10 w/ the V6 that was also a piece of garbage.  So that is 2 out of 2 for being crap.  Although, my Aunt had an ‘89 S10 Blazer with zero issues.

It didn’t have the 350, but the S10 was just a shoddy vehicle, pretty much everything broke at some point and I doubt the V8 means better quality everything else (80's GM interiors were garbage). I’m sure someone will enjoy this one, but I still say it is a CP.

People that swap out Corvette taillights on their old Chevy pickups are dumb, more than paint is needed to fix this thing. Also, my first vehicle was an ‘87 S10, and that memory alone makes me say CP.

A “true Texan” would have bought the Lone Star Edition Ram, not the Laramie...

I had a ‘17 S6, the back seat is actually quite large.  I think the front seats are just as far back as they can go in that picture.

I did actually try to get on a waiting list for the RS6 Avant, both Audi dealers in my town are asking for $5000 deposit just to get on the waiting list. I had even purchased a new ‘17 S6 from one of them a few years ago, but they still wanted to charge me $2500, that was their “discount” for repeat customers. Oh, and

Do you not remember that there were California only models of almost every vehicle before the 12 other states decided to follow CARB guidelines? It wasn’t that long ago, and there are still vehicles sold in the US that are only available in CA (eGolf as an example). Last point, it was Nixon that granted the waiver for

I think all the new toll roads are what are keeping the front plate alive, at least in TX.  They want to make sure to get a good picture of front and back plates to charge you their fees...

Go to Bimmerpost, it is definitely not sorted out. There are even threads about this Consumer Reports article there. I had a first year F15 X5 and currently have a first year G01 X3, no problems with either, but not buying a G05 and instead going with a competitor, and that is 100% due to the crazy issues numerous

They’ve been up in the top 5 for at least a few years now.

The new G05 X5 is having a ton of problems.  Go to a forum and there are countless people with issues, most cannot be figured out and fixed, lots of them are software problems, but make the vehicle undriveable.

Crack Pipe, even if it was in perfect condition...

All the people claiming Interstate Commerce Clause invalidates CARB, that are responding to you are, I would guess, Republicans. They should maybe know that CARB was started by CA Gov. Ronald Reagan in 1967, so before the EPA was even a thing. Nixon, who started the EPA, gave CARB a waiver to set it’s own emission

The people over on Bimmerpost are ripping it apart, it is almost universally hated.

Yeah, it is disturbing how much info someone that you don’t want to have access to it, can find.  I still have to deal with crap from my ex-husband, 10+ years later.

My second car was a 1992 Buick Skylark GS 2 door. It was black and had the “awesome” red stripe around it that indicated sporty in the early ‘90s (see below, but it was black with a red interior). Bought it in ‘97, right after high school. My first car was really my Dad’s beater hunting truck, an ‘87 Chevy S10 with

Yes, live just outside Austin, TX and everywhere is a traffic jam at nearly all times of the day.

Daily driver, and no mods (it was a lease). I’ve never achieved EPA ratings on any vehicle I’ve owned, seems extremely optimistic for city (never took it on a long enough trip to get pure highway mileage). If you look through forums it seems to be around average for what most people who daily them get.

It was probably more due to the insane traffic around Austin, stop and go is brutal to gas mileage.  I did like to use the power when able to do so though...
