A person following state law shouldn’t piss a cop off, that is the problem. They are supposed to uphold the law, not decide what the law actually is.

2nd Gear: There appears to be a whole lot of people in the comments that don’t understand how the current EV Tax Credit works, or what exactly a tax credit actually is. It is not your tax dollars subsidizing a rich person’s EV, it is their own tax dollars. They work like this, you fill out a form on your 1040, provide…
I put in whatever is recommended by the owner’s manual. Both of my current vehicles require premium, so that is what I use, if they required 87 octane, then I’d use that. There is no benefit to going up, or down from the required rating.
Yes, it is a ‘20 Cayenne E Hybrid. I have only had to get gas about once a month these past 8 months. Power is great (instant torque), the switch from ICE to electric is very smooth, no dealing with auto stop/start as it just goes to electric at all stops. I have PDCC on it, so handling is also amazing for a 5300lb…
I think that is just used 911 drivers. The ones that have custom ordered a brand new one never act like that.
Counter point, a PHEV is awesome. I have 455hp, get 30mpg in a 5300lb plug in hybrid SUV.
The manual transmission is, and always has been awful. I can drive one, and did daily one from ‘95-’98, I have never missed it by going to an automatic. Let’s face it, 99% of the time you are driving in traffic, and often stop and go, a manual doesn’t make that any better, just more tedious. People that argue that…
1978, the Oldsmobile Cutlass was the best selling car. Nope, nope, nope. Everything from that era is awful.
My Cayenne isn’t an investment though, it is a daily driver. I get 27 miles of electric if I want, and 455hp when I don’t. Averaging 43% of all driving in electric and 30mpg (I drive in Hybrid mode or Sport). I won’t keep it out of warranty, so again, in 10 years it won’t be my problem. I was just responding to your…
Eh, more like $10,000 difference (just built one of each, $99,045 for the Jeep and $109,250 for the X5M. Pretty sure the Jeep is fast in a straight line, but cannot handle like the BMW otherwise. $10,000 isn’t that big of a difference once you are up at this level.
Took 8 months to secure an allocation and for my Cayenne E Hybrid to get here. Unless you are buying off the lot, you need at least 5 months lead on an ordered Porsche.
Panamera E Hybrid ST is amazing, and the “base” hybrid is still quicker than most other vehicles out there. Could get one nicely spec’d for $120k.
PDCC makes a world of difference on any Porsche, especially the 4 door ones. My 5400lb Cayenne E Hybrid corners completely flat, at speed.
I have a $115,000 Cayenne sitting in my garage that is my daily driver. It is extremely practical and fuel efficient (E Hybrid). So yes, people do spend that much on practical transportation.
An X5M would drive better than any Jeep.
Grocery store managers make pretty good money, enough to buy an expensive vehicle.
Stay far, far away. My Dad had an Eagle Premier, which is all this is, and it was the biggest POS ever. He keeps cars for over a decade, he kept that for 11 months.
The Cross Turismo has more room than the regular Taycan, this makes it the perfect family car. Despite appearances, the Taycan is much smaller inside than the Panamera. I don’t care if no one else likes or understands this, it is going on the list for a future vehicle.
Panamera E Hybrid Sport Turismo may be my next vehicle. Have a Cayenne E Hybrid right now, and Porsche’s hybrid system is seamless, averaging 30+ mpg in a 455hp vehicle.
BMWs no longer have the monostable turn signals. I believe all G Series are back to the regular style stalks, which aren’t as nice.
