If you have a trade in, that isn’t upside down (which is probably the case as you’re buying a Porsche) and some money to put down, that $103k comes down to $50-$60k pretty quickly. You shouldn’t need $300k a year to afford that amount of auto loan. Still horrendously expensive, but remember that the Model S was over 6

It would, but dealers don’t even know what allotments they are getting.  The two Audi dealers in my city already have over 25 people on lists between the two, and may only get 1 or 2 RS6's each.  That is a lot of money to give to a dealer for months with no guarantee of the ability to actually order one.

BMW M550i, and Audi S6 (with the TTV8).  I had a ‘17 S6 and averaged 9mpg.  Both are in the $80k range.

Tried to get on a waiting list for the Audi RS6 Avant, dealers are charging $5000 just for a spot.  I have no idea how much they will then add in dealer mark ups, but it is sure to be insane.

I enjoy driving and while the size is right in the Transit Connect, the driving dynamics are meh. The Mazda 5, with the skyactive turbo 4 would be a great vehicle, of course they don’t make them for the US anymore (the Mazda 5, don’t believe they ever came with a turbo).

I think your SIL is using the kid as an excuse for buying the Suburban. She bought one because they are a status symbol in much of the US and that was probably the real reason she did that instead of a minivan. I still argue that families with 1 or 2 kids don’t need a minivan either, they aren’t especially fuel

Yeah, I just sort of hate the default Jalop answer of kid = minivan...

I don’t mind minivans, but I don’t need one, even with kids. I only have 2 kids, so only need a 5 seat vehicle. Modern minivans are enormous, so much so they won’t fit in my garage, which is where I like to park my vehicle.  I do have a shoulder impingement though, and it affects my bicep tendon, so being able to load

I haven’t had the chance to listen to the podcast, but as a female who comments quite a bit on here, thank you for writing this and agreeing to discuss it on the podcast. This needs to be said, having a penis, or identifying as male doesn’t mean you know jack about cars, or at least not more than any woman. Leave

While this may sound ridiculous, pretend to be a woman online for awhile. To be most accurate, join a vehicle forum for something you own or are interested in, see how they treat you... Trust me, they will act like you are a complete moron and cannot understand simple things, it isn’t the same as being trolled as a

The main problem with this argument is that 95% of people simply cannot only purchase used vehicles. If only 5% of the population bought new, the used inventory would get priced accordingly and potentially tens or hundreds of thousands of people would lose their jobs as automotive sector employment would crash.  What

That looks so nice!

That top picture is making me seriously consider the lava orange for my Cayenne order...

BMW M550i, room for a child seat, V8, 4 doors and AWD.  Oh, and usually you can negotiate 7-10% off MSRP so you can buy new with a warranty.

Looking at a PHEV right now and going full BEV for the vehicle after this one.  Also looking into solar panels for my house...

49 years of precedent should mean that the Trump administration will lose this battle quickly.  Of course, who knows with the current SCOTUS...

Wheelbase and length are about 7" larger than the X7, so possibly a stretched version of that platform.

As of July they no longer sell these in the US, so you’d have to either buy used, or find a dealer with one on the lot.

On my third, and probably last BMW, so at least one person won’t buy this monstrosity for the roundel...

You seemed really upset that they wouldn’t give you the residual, plus remaining payments, for you to get into another vehicle. Unless you have equity in your lease, it is never, ever a good idea to even consider looking at a different vehicle. My point still stands though, you could pay off your remaining payments
