They aren't. The dealers are. And dealers are rich because of the big mark up they put on every car they sell and how you HAVE to go to them. Oh, and the rich dealers are the ones with the senators in their pockets.

I don't get this strict separation between manufacturers and dealers in the US. Who is this supposed to help? I'm pretty sure it's not really the customer.
