Buying a beater creates its own problems if you can’t afford a major repair or you can’t fix your own car. It’s really a bummer to find yourself NEEDing to buy a car right now.

It looks better on the Silverados but they still look like branded company work trucks to me. I still would not buy one like that for personal use.

The 2.7 liter in the F-150 is actually the least problematic of all the engines. It’s pretty much regarded as bullet proof. The 5.0 is known to have oil consumption issues and the 3.5 liter ecoboost has cam phaser problems.

I couldn’t imagine spending $80k and ending up with throwaway midsized SUVs. So depressing.

I would think that it’s pretty obvious that cars lasting longer would be the reason they are on the road longer.

I dunno about the android version, but apple car play is incredible. I have a f-150 and I never use the ford system at all because my phone is 100% plugged in every time I get in the car.

Haters gonna hate, but I love my crew cab f-150 with the smol bed and topper. It’s perfect for my DIY projects, my outdoor hobbies, and for use as our primary family vehicle (wife has a cx5).

That sort of analysis doesn’t fit the outrage machine.
