I don’t know anything about flying, but I do work in real estate. One time I was looking at buying an FBO as a redevelopment opportunity and the guy operating the FBO referred to the hanger full of small, prop driven recreation planes as “Doctor Killers.”
The flying experience is so shitty now that it actually makes sense to me that more people are violent on flights. It’s not excusable, but you can just see how the experience could push someone over the edge.

On top of that, car rental companies really can’t figure it out either. Hertz went bankrupt last year. It’s a terrible business that requires a $20k+ rapidly depreciating asset to provide a ~$30/day fee.
