Ford charges something like $600 for the trailer backup knob on the dash that most people will never use.

I think my F-150's standard tires are about 32s. I think it has to do more with having more pronounced tread lugs creating the perception of them being larger.

Limited number of chips = allocate to highest margin vehicles. Seems obvious. I would be shocked if other brands weren’t doing this.

I 100% think k-9s should be removed from law enforcement but for explosives detection. Dogs are such an obvious infringement of the constitution.

It’s a bummer. I had a friend that had their Civic totaled and now they are stuck trying to navigate this market. Pay out the nose for a new car or pay out the nose for an old car.

I think there’s almost no chance it’s a solid front axle. I don’t think we’ll ever see another solid front axle vehicle produced by a major brand in the United States.

Not that anyone will actually offroad this, but it looks like it’ll be challenging to get a winch bumper over that gigantic grill.

I hope one of these bicyclists squishes this kid with their own truck after he inevitably escapes prosecution because of an acute case of affluenza.

I learned long ago to not be bothered by other people’s financial decisions. It’s a fruitless exercise.

For the time it was developed, there is a good argument for the Cherokee XJ. Not too many cars from the late 80's and early 90's are going 250k+ miles.

Absolutely. I do some rock crawling and serious 4x4 trails, but I would absolutely consider this explorer for a dd / family hauler.

You’d be surprised where someone will try and take a lifted crosstrek. It’s neat that people do it, but it can be frustrating if you’re stuck behind them on a single track trail.

My guess is that it’s similar to what happens when you don’t pick up your car from teh tow yard after 30 days. They stop trying to find you and they just keep your shit.

This is so true in Colorado, too. I already have to deal with Subarus on the jeep trails so this is just going to make it worse.

I agree and disagree. A LSD and decent tires is going to make a big difference offroad. With labor, it would cost $1,500+ to add an LSD to a factory vehicle. Tires are probably a grand.

Party #2 will definitely snitch on Party #1, though. Since the news is picking up the vehicle theft story, the police will probably make a sweet deal on the gas station robbery to get those guys to talk.

I don’t think Hyundai is anywhere near “proven reliability.” It’s probably firmly in the “improving reliability.” Say whatever you want about Ford, but don’t act like Hyundai is Toyota haha.

Agreed. 23mpg is basically fullsize truck mpg anymore.

It isn’t super important on a pickup truck tbh. My last one didn’t have it and it wasn’t an issue.

This looked staged to me although people this dumb do exist.
