This would probably be more practical as an SUV, but damn it’s neat so I am supportive.

Yeah, this is the thing to remember. Up until about 2006, 205 horsepower was a very respectable amount of oomph.

I could have been wrong on the hp! I think the later years had a few more HP but didn’t google it.

Efficiency was pretty good for the time. Mine still does 16mpg highway with a 4.5 inch lift and bigger tires.

The LS is probably the best engine ever made.

It depends on your perspective. All of the governments money was either collected from citizenry or printed in a manner that reduces citizen’s wealth.

I tend to agree. If they’ve executed and these vehicles are high quality I’ll be full “in.”

I want a brown, manual, one seater with a 16 foot bed so that I can carry TWO 4x8 sheets of plywood without stacking them. It also has to have rubber floors, crank windows, and don’t even THINK about putting any of those computer boxes in my dash!

Tell them not to bother if they are planning on using a CVT.

I’m betting it’s more tax efficient than selling the grain and then buying the truck... but I don’t know anything about the tax code in Brazil.

Without knowing jack diddly about Brazil’s tax code, I’m guessing trading grain for a truck is tax efficient for Brazilian farmers, too.

Yeah. My wife is 5'10 and I’m 6'0. The CX5 works, but the passenger seat is no longer comfortable enough to do road trips in. It’s fine for our family, but we would have bought a bigger vehicle than the CX5, knowing what we know now.

That’s actually a good point. A lot of a vehicle’s full circle emissions are in the manufacturing.

Yeah, I agree, but even 20 or 30 miles is pretty good.

I love the plug ins that get 20 or 30 miles on electric only mode.

I am not a stan for Musk, but this is something that always gets overlooked in this discussion.

We cross shopped these vs a cx5 for babying. The Crosstrek would be very small. Infant seat probably would be fine, but a rear facing baby/toddler seat is going to be brutal.

Also, we want criminals armed with AK pistols compared to just about anything else. It’s almost impossible to hit anything with one of those and it’s guaranteed to demolish your ear drums.

Yeah, the federal laws are kind of bizzare and once you overlay state and local laws, it’s kind of dizzying trying to understand why one thing is legal and another is not.
