Things Lyft won’t tell you:
Things Lyft won’t tell you:
Uber and Lyft insurance is inadequate to drive for rideshare. You need a “rideshare” endorsement on your policy on your personal insurance, which turns it into a sort of hybrid personal and commercial policy.
Exactly. A lot of drivers think we’re still operating on the 75/25 split. Finding your rate card is hard, and the TOS changes all the time and can be hard for many people to read.
Aaron, have you considered doing a takedown of how awful the rental programs like Fair and particularly lyft’s Express Drive program is?
Yes, best option aside from literally being homeless, I guess.
The amount of people who read this article and immediately jumped to a “well, actually the data is flawed and Uber and Lyft are good actually” really makes me do a big, world cooling, fucking sigh.
I feel like people just like saying “this is why they’re flopping!” when it’s a product they don’t like, but say they don’t understand why a product the did like, didn’t succeed.
Case in point: CVT’s aren’t the issue with Nissan. Their clientele doesn’t care.
The Sentra and Versa (sedan) won’t be dropped; the 2020 Versa…
It’s a little generic looking, but it’s really good value.
For short, minimum fare rides - sure it’s roughly stayed the same, sort of.
Not excited for the bootlicking in the comments from people who have maybe taken an Uber or Lyft once way back in 2015.
In all of the Uber/Lyft rides I’ve had in the past two weeks, and I drive 35-40 hours a week, and average 80 rides per week, Lyft or Uber has lost money exactly one time.
Side note, the VW CrossFox is FWD only.
If it’s “clicking” it’s probably low on freon.
Then he should go to a different shop. I don’t know of any shop that I’ve dealt with that won’t install parts I’ve supplied. Not to mention a shop obviously will mark up parts as they make money on the cost of parts as well.
Also, a lot of car failures are sometimes more complex than “this thing doesn’t work”, and you have to be much more car literate to know what you can ignore and what you can’t.
$1200 for an AC repair and it still broke again? They changed and billed you for a new compressor...and it still failed?
Weeks???
SEVENTY RIDES PER WEEK??
I think it looks *fine*.
The problem is that it’s virtually the same size as the Trax.
So why keep the Trax??
I really hope to god this doesn’t happen to any person of color; judging from how trigger-happy cops are these days, my black ass can’t help but think this is a great way for someone to literally get killed.
